The Long & Short
I’ve had many experiences in Second Life® and learned so many things. I believe it’s an environment rich with culture, drama, creativity and vivid color.
I began my Second Life® in July of 2005 as Sami Bachman but after a year or so, created a new “virtual” me. It’s been a long time since I’ve spent time with Sami and had forgotten what a disaster my inventory is
My heart has been broken several times in here through various relationships. Not all have been romance related, either. I’ve learned that sometimes friends can break your heart, too. I’ve learned a lot about life in Second Life. There have been times where I feel I can walk away and never look back, born out of sheer frustration, but I never can completely let go..
Sadly, I’ve learned some less than positives aspects about people in Second Life®. Forgiveness is a one way street for some folks and good and honest people are somewhat of a rare commodity. But, when you can find someone you connect with .. it’s such an exhilarating experience! Second Life® is an excellent place to learn, explore, meet people with similar interests, create lighthearted and fun friendships and create objects and merchandise, though. ..among other things. We should all learn to keep things in their proper perspective.
However, if that can be accomplished … you will find a very exciting and fulfilling world inside Second Life®. I’ve made friends who I wouldn’t trade for anything – am still making new friends – and experienced things I could only do in this type of environment.
Of course, that’s just my two Linden’s worth
I love my Second Life®!
